Chelsea have completed the signing of Benfica midfielder Nemanja Matic for a fee around £21million, just three years after he left the club. He signed a five-and-a-half-year deal at the club.
The 25-year-old flew to London last night and completed his medical and the paperwork today, and a few hours ago both the player and the club confirmed the deal.
"I am very happy for this opportunity. I just want to say I will give my best to help the team and make the Chelsea fans happy," said Matic.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said: "He has grown as a player in Portugal and has become a fantastic all-round midfielder."
